ABOUT THE ORIGIN
Sonsonate is a small region on El Salvador's Pacific coast. As is true with many Central American coffees, the combination of trade winds and rich volcanic soil offer ideal growing climates. Farms in Sonsonate are small and grow coffee alongside other fruit trees and crops as part of what is known as an agroforest. Sonsonate's inherent biodiversity inspires producers to take particular concern in preserving fresh water sources and acting as stewards of the environment.
