ABOUT THE ORIGIN
The Mantiqueira de Minas region is located in the southern portion of the Minas Gerais state and is known for its beautiful mountain climate and its thermal water reservoirs, famous for their therapeutic abilities.
The region has the perfect combination of climate and soil fertility to promote the production of high quality coffee. The coffee has a uniquely balanced cup profile, with complex flavors such as chocolate, citrus, caramel, and a full-bodied sweetness.
The coffee culture of Serra da Mantiqueira began between 1848-1850, but only after 1996 did producers begin a gradual process of improving production technology. Today, producers use new cultivation methods to improve the quality of the coffee.
