Farm info

João Batista Brinate was born and grew up in the city of Alto Caparaó with his parents. As the second generation of coffee farmers, he gleaned his knowledge from his father, who was always dedicated to growing coffee. João inherited the farm from his father and continued to farm coffee with the help of his wife and two sons.

The love of coffee has always motivated João to look for new techniques and knowledge. Focusing on producing quality coffees, he treats each stage of coffee production with total attention to detail and care, making the most of the region’s advantageous elevation, between 950 and 1100 meters above sea level.

The entire family is supported by coffee production and they all work together to run the Empossado farm. João’s sons are his main support and one day plan to manage the farm themselves. The property is located in the city of Alto Caparaó, with 6 of the farm’s 14 hectares planted with cafe.
